This Monday April 8, Solemnity of the Annunciation, Sacred Heart Academy held its first walkathon, and what a success it was!
The Annunciation Walkathon in the numbers:
- 50 walkers
- Nearly 200 kilometres walked as a school community!
- Sponsorship from over 200 individuals and groups
Thank you to everyone who participated in this successful event in honour of Our Lady.
The day ended with praying of the Rosary, a delicious pizza lunch, and an astounding talent show showcasing the students’ many and varied talents. Plus a moving Passion and Resurrection Play presented by the students.
Praise God for a beautiful feastday celebration that brought us closer together as a community, and brought us closer to our fundraising goals for the year! May we, as Mary of the Annunciation, always say YES to God in our lives and our Academy!
